The SIM900RS232 is a ready to use GPRS Quad band modem in a robust casing. It features an industry standard SMA antenna connector, allowing for a wide variety of antennas to be deployed, depending on customer application and environment. The unit also features an audio interface as well. The modem is powered by an AC/DC adapter (supplied with the product). It is also supplied standard with serial cable and audio lead.

Internally, the product uses the SIMCom SIM900 GSM/GPRS module, employing standard and enhanced AT commands.
